Community Education Council District 2 is undertaking rezoning in Lower Manhattan and the Upper East Side.

CECD2 is the elected body of parents (volunteers!) who represent all parents with children attending schools in District 2 in Manhattan. Council members were elected by PTA officers every two years and must be parents of public school children themselves. There are two members appointed by the Borough President as well as a high school student (non-voting member).
